Ekphrasis was a column joining verse and visual art in Art Focus Oklahoma magazine, published quarterly by Oklahoma Visual Arts Coalition from 2014–2023. For each installment, an Oklahoma-based or native poet was presented with a work of art from an Oklahoma-based or native visual artist. The poet then wrote a response piece. The column featured more than 60 poets and artists, showcasing the broad range of talent and sensibility found across Oklahoma.
